Times Higher Education Supplement League Table on Overall Student Experience placed the University of Gloucestershire in the top three of all the ‘new universities’ in December 2007, and 12th of all UK universities for Overall Quality of Life in March 2008.
  
The flexible modular structure of the degrees at Gloucestershire means that student can have more choice about the options they study. Joint Honours degrees are increasingly popular, while Sandwich Courses allow undergraduate students to have a year in paid employment with one of the many employers they have links with in industry. Their programmes ensure that the student are learning skills that quality employers are looking for in new graduates. Their success in this area is highlighted by their ranking in the top 10 of all universities for employability.
 
International Students also have access to the Cheltenham International Language Centre, the University’s own language unit. Students can improve their English Language ability before starting their course, as well as receive ongoing help and support throughout their studies.
